1:1 Support for Survivors of Suicide Loss
Suicide loss can change everything…your body, your thoughts, your relationships, and the way the world feels.
In our work together, you’ll have a steady, compassionate space to breathe, tell the truth, and find small, doable next steps - at your pace.
Ways I Can Support You
Consult (free 15 minutes)
A first step. We’ll briefly talk about what you’re navigating and what kind of support would feel most helpful. No pressure, just a place to begin.
Short-Term Support (4–6 Sessions)
For when you need steadier footing, coping tools, and a supportive plan for hard days, anniversaries, or life transitions.
1:1 Support Sessions
Compassionate, trauma-informed support for the early days and the long haul, especially when grief feels overwhelming, complicated, or isolating.
Ongoing Support
For those who want consistent support over time & space to process, rebuild meaning, and learn how to carry the grief with less strain.
What it’s like to work together
Grief after suicide loss is not only emotional, it’s physical, cognitive, relational, and often deeply lonely. Many survivors tell me they feel like they’re “too much,” or that others don’t understand the shock, guilt, anger, numbness, or intrusive thoughts that can come with this kind of loss.
My work is both tender and practical. We move slow, but we also build skills and support so you’re not just surviving each wave…you’re learning how to steady yourself in the middle of it.
In our sessions, you can expect:
A calm, compassionate space without judgment
Support that honors your relationship and your story
Tools for the waves (shock, anxiety, guilt, anger, trauma responses)
Help navigating hard dates, triggers, and everyday functioning
A pace that respects your nervous system and capacity
I’m Christine Rifenburgh (MSW), a grief coach and grief educator, and I’ve supported survivors of suicide loss for over 11 years through community work, groups, and 1:1 support. You don’t have to do this alone.
If you’re not sure where to start, a Consult is a simple first step.
How to get started
If you’re feeling nervous, uncertain, or exhausted, that makes sense. Reaching out can be a big step, especially when you’ve been holding so much for so long.
Schedule a Consult to see if working together feels like a fit.
You don’t need to have the right words. We’ll begin where you are at in your grief.
